Wind

Wind, you feel it sometimes when your outside or inside with the windows open but what is wind? and how does it move

  1. Wind is moving air. It can give us a nice breeze or it can become strong enough to rip roofs off of houses during hurricanes! Here in Elizabeth City, we get strong winds because of how close we live to a river. Wind moves because of the air pressure around it. When hot air moves to cold areas, and vise versa, it creates wind.

  2. Wind depends on the pressure of the air to move. That is all wind is moving air. Wind in the summer is the best thing ever! The wind in the winter on the other hand is the worse because its already cold so wind blowing just makes it worse.

  3. Wind is the movement of air or the flow of gases on a large scale. It can be weak or strong. Wind is the balancing of atmospheric pressure, the movement of air is in high pressure areas to low pressure areas.

  4. Wind is the balancing of atmospheric pressure; the movement of air is in high pressure areas to low pressure areas. However, I must say that the wind for the past few days have been very unpredictable.

  5. Wind is the movement of air in an attempt to balance air pressure. Air tends to move from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure, resulting in changing wind speeds. Depending on the atmospheric pressure, winds can be strong or weak. These winds influence life on earth, from ocean currents; to bird migration.

  6. Wind is moving air that can be caused by storms, but here it's because we life close to the water. Wind moves from high pressure to low pressure.

  7. Wind is the flow of gases on a large scale. On Earth, wind consists of the bulk movement of air. Winds are commonly classified by their spatial scale, their speed, the types of forces that cause them, the regions in which they occur, and their effect.

  8. Wind happens when a large mass of gases moves through open space. It moves when the gases move in a mass all at once, creating a gust.

  9. Wind is moving air. Wind can nove in masses, just as weather.

  10. Wind is moving air and it moves like a storm which is in a mass

  11. Wind is balancing of atmospheric pressure. The movement of air is from high pressure areas to low pressure areas. You can have a nice breeze or you can have winds at very high speeds like in hurricanes or tornadoes.

  12. Wind is the perceptible natural movement of the air, in the form of a current of air blowing from a particular direction. Wind moves by equally distributing atmospheric pressure, the movement of air is within high pressure areas or fronts to low pressure areas or fronts

  13. Wind is moving air and is caused by differences in air pressure within our atmosphere. I like wind when it is a breeze, not when it is a violent storm.
