If I had the money and volunteers to clean the ocean, I would go around and pick up trash. Trash in the water can harm sealife. It gets there from people polluting or wind blowing the trash in the water. If I had the volunteers, I would separate them on different boats and we would drive around picking up trash in polluted areas.
We often forget that a lot of the pollution in our oceans comes from non- point source pollution. Many pollution runs into our ocean water from nearby factories and fields. If we banned all factories and fields within 50 miles of our oceans, this would reduce a lot of the problem. With the money and volunteers, we would split up all around the United States to make sure that any factories or farms were shutdown if they didn't meet the standards. Although this would be bad for the places that get shutdown, it would have a huge effect on our oceans, us, and everything in the oceans.
If I had the volunteers and money, I would construct better wastewater treatment plants to filter industrial waste before it entered the ocean. Some factories empty sewage and waste directly into the ocean, and projects such as this would clean their wastewater before it was released back to open seas. I would also construct better storm drain systems that would bring wastes to these same treatment plants to be processed.
I would have my workers on daily shifts to go around and collect the litter to protect the ocean from being overly polluted. This would make a safer environment for our sea creatures and allow the environments to see the how good it is to take care of our world and our ocean.
I would go clean polluted rivers, lakes, and ponds. We often take our water sources for granted. Many water sources are polluted from factories and litter.
If I were given these resources I would do the beach renurshiment project at the outer banks to save our beach from erosions. I would also hire a team to pick up trash off the beaches everyday. I would also do research of newly develped creatures and warn people about them.
If I got money to help the ocean, I would use it for a better way to drill oil, so there wouldn't be as many or no oil spills. Oil spills are very dangerous and harm many sea creatures and oraganisms that eat the fish that have been in the oil spill. Or I would use it make new technologies for exploring the ocean floor.
If I was given the money to clean up the ocean, I would start with the huge oil spill. I would make sure every animal that was still damaged got cleaned up and got back into their safe envirnment. Second, I would clean up the trash along the shoreline and in the water so the animals would not have to deal with pollutants and the beachs would look a lot nicer.
If I had the opportunity to volunteer for beach and ocean cleanup, I would do a numerous amount of things. I would hire a crew to go into the ocean and collect soda bottle rings, trash, and plastic bags. Also I would do some beach cleanup, especially around the part where things gets washed up.
To clean up the ocean, I would raise money to build small trash disposal areas that were sind and weather resistant. This way prople could easily dispose their waste without harming the environment. I would also get my friends to choose one day out of the week to pick up trash. I would found clubs all across the United States that would go to the beaches weekly and pick up trash. All of the different clubs in the different states would have an annual conference where we discussed how things went for the year and our plans for next year.
I would build better ways to treat water polution. I would also cleen up trash on the beach because it can kill wildlife if it eats it. We cant let our earth become a dump so thats why we have to take care of it.

ReplyDeleteI would pick up all the trash on the beach and in the water. I would also use the money to extend the beaches and fill them back up with sand.
